This afternoon, during the wide-area flash flooding that was occurring in Chester County from a torrential rain storm, the Downingtown Fire Dept. Water Rescue Team was dispatched for a water rescue at S. Lloyd Ave. and W. Lancaster Ave. Battalion 46 (Brooks) arrived and found an occupied full-size van stuck in flood water under the railroad overpass. The team removed and assisted the person in the van to safety.
